Yesterday's close went almost perfectly... the catch being that we didn't have a key. The seller (FNMA) wanted to rekey the place and hadn't had time. They said the key would be waiting for us at the house today. Of course, it wasn't :/ So we technically have a house... but we can't get inside. It's Sunday. My sister CL & niece CL2 are supposed to come tonight to spend part of the week. I should be cleaning house, but instead I am enjoying the quiet. The house is SO QUIET without R here. My fall class schedule now includes Intermediate French 1, Drawing 1, and Ceramics 2. I know there was something I wanted to add but can't remember now. Monday when we were at the home appraisal, my face started to itch a little... then to sting... then it was full-out burning. It was horrible. Yesterday was the inspection for the Third Ward bungalow. It went mostly well. There are of course things wrong. R put an offer in last Friday on the Craftsman bungalow I wrote about a few weeks ago. It came back on the market that morning, and he jumped on it. There are a lot of good features about the house, and it's priced to sell. I hope so hard that they accept our offer! It's been a few days and I am getting twitchy.
